Module 9

1. Explain why you selected each of the TWO videos you choose from the selection listed above.


The two videos I selected were completely randomly the first two. I guess I also sided with these both Michelangelo video as well as Leonardo da Vinci because obviously they are both very popular artists I have learned about over the years and wanted to know a little more extra info on them.


2. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.

 Michelangelo- The video allowed me to understand and visualize the work of Michelangelo while he was in the preparatory stages of his work and how he developed them into his final works.  It also went into the different styles and works that are not commonly known and they were all very interesting.

Leonardo da Vinci- The video analyzes Leonardo's life from the very beginning. With all of the different styles and different work he produced during the Renaissance period it brought about massive changes and fundamentals to art itself of the time and for the future.


3. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text? 4. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the readings and art concepts?

 We learned about these artists within the text and the videos just added and expanded on them and their work much more thoroughly as they focused primarily on each artist respectively. Many different works were shown and examples were given on their reflective time period.
